Undergoing orthopaedic surgery is a significant step, and our goal is to make your journey as smooth possible.
From the moment you contact our clinic to your full recovery, Dr. Duff and our team guide you through each stage. Here’s what you can expect.
1. Initial Contact: Contact our reception staff who will collect your medical information and ensure you have completed up-to-date diagnostics before your appointment.
2. Consultation: Schedule your appointment with Dr. Duff. You're welcome to bring a supporting family member or friend to the consultation.
3. Pre-Surgical Planning: If you're undergoing a major operation such as hip replacement or knee replacement, we'll schedule an additional appointment with our in-house physiotherapist or clinical nurse to assess your health and help you prepare for the procedure.
4. Post-Operative Care: Following your procedure, you'll see Dr. Duff or his clinical nurse to check your surgical site approximately 2 weeks post-operatively. Further follow-ups are generally scheduled at 6 weeks, with additional appointments based on your specific condition.
5. Ongoing Communication: Dr. Duff liaises with your referring GP and treating rehabilitation specialist after every clinic appointment. Should you have questions at any stage, please contact our clinic.
